The distilling of schnapps and fruit brandies is an old tradition in our house and is run by senior chef Hans Hofherr. When the leaves fall in autumn and the fully ripe last harvest of the year is brought in, the right fruits are selected and refined according to old recipe to high-proof. The apple-cinnamon schnapps made according to the house recipe is a legendary product of our distillery and also Williams-Christ pear, Obstler and many other brandies and schnapps from our own distillery, may be tasted at our distillery. The boss personally takes care of the selection of ingredients for each vintage. The result is a pure and unadulterated product, as it was made centuries ago in Bavaria. Despite our manageable production, we can offer a versatile range of schnapps, brandies and liqueurs of all kinds. Sharp digestifs, join gentle aperitifs that caress the palate. For lovers of sweet drops, we recommend sweet liqueurs, such as our walnut liqueur or apricot liqueur made to a house recipe. The entire available assortment of Hofherr’s house distillery can be found by our guests in our showroom.
